With roots dating back to the 1950s, Sal Assante Sr. built a landscaping business upon returning from his service in World War II. With a passion for creating artful landscapes and a burgeoning desire to restore homegrown beauty to a country heartbroken by war, he went into business as a professional landscaper.
Not only was Sal one of the first landscapers in North Jersey, but he also had a natural, unique penchant for crafting outdoor gardens with a European and "foreign" aesthetic that wowed his customers. His legacy continues to this day in the work of his sons, owners Paul and Sal Jr., and grandsons Salvatore and Alan.
